I noticed there is an "offline Pocket Queries" link on my account page. Does anyone know what it is for?

I noticed this shortly after the brief outage the other day, but upon further inspection the feature seems rather useless, as once you put it there you really cant do anything with it. What i thought it *might* be is a place to be able to store and grab pq's when the db and the query engines are down, but it doesnt seem to be much more than a storage silo at the moment.

It is for if you use an iPhone. You can alter your PQ's and then upload them to the site via offline PQ. Then you can send them to your phone somehow. Apparently you cannot alter PQ's sent to your phone unless you pay for some software. Now you can do it without buying that.

And yet another useless 'feature' that most folks wont use. Funny, once you put the file up there you cant do anything with it, so even with an iPhone i dont see how you can perform *any* actions with it but delete...

Actually you would be really surprised about the iPhone stuff. (Also blackberry, ipod, mobile, etc.) Obviously its not a useless feature as so they (groundspeak) don't have a ton of resources yet they did put it out.

Some people like to alter their PQ's. Most of us do it all the time.
