Garmin Sweepstakes Promotion

Garmin has joined together with several corporations to promote their Nuvi GPS and the new Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End movie. You can enter a sweepstakes to win some nice prizes and also play a little game that features their GPS. Phil has started a forum topic about it. You are invited to attend a CITO event this Saturday November 17th. In Maple Hts, Ohio from 2 to 8 PM. Come on out and pitch in while having fun with other cachers. This event will wrap up with a pot luck dinner and a Campfire.

Geocaching at OHS

The Ohio Historical Society has placed caches for those who want to connect with Ohio's past while participating in geocaching. Some caches have been out for a year and others are to be announced. It would be nice to hear from cachers that have found one or more of these OHS caches. Just post your experience in the comments section below.

The Bernt'sen Company, who sell survey products have started an online magazine about Geocaching and Benchmark Hunting.

It seems pretty interesting so far.

These are also the same people who published the Lasting Impressions Book which takes a look at the history of Surveying in the United States.

Event Coords have been changed to a parking area closer to the event site. Please take note of this. Cachers should enter the park off of Dunham Road by driving behind the Turney Dunham Shopping Center.

Dress up like your favorite 1930's Law Man or Woman and help us hunt down some nefarious Gangster's (caches).
