It was only a matter of time. Someone has released a CD of geocaching songs. Now you can rock out and sing along in your cachemobile on your geocaching junkets.

A new means of transportation that looks pretty cool. What do you think, will it make a hit, or go the route of the Segway? The portability feature is sure a plus.

Splinterheads The Movie

The Hollywood made movie has just been released to DVD. If you haven't heard of it, check out the web page provided in the forum post here in Geochums. One of the main characters is a geocacher and part of the story revolves around a cache hunt . Pretty cool!

Travel Bug Rescue

Submitted by, SerenityNow Modified @ 9:14 pm
What is tb-rescue.com all about?

Many geocachers know the situation: A Travel Bug® or Geocoin you own is stuck for weeks or even months in a geocache. Wouldn't it be great if you could ask another geocacher that lives close to that cache for help? Clicking this news item will take you to the forum topic discussing the site.

Postcrossing

Submitted by, SerenityNow @ 8:48 pm
I ran across this website and thought it was interesting. Here's the explanation from the website:
"The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free! The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive at least one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world.

Why? Because, like the author, there are lots of people who like to receive real mail.
The element of surprise of receiving postcards from different places in the world (many of which you probably have never heard of) can turn your mailbox into a box of surprises - and who wouldn't like that?"

An interesting event

Submitted by, SerenityNow 12/25/09 @ 9:39 am
I just ran across this interesting event today. Seeing where it's being held, I would have rated the difficulty a little higher but I guess for the men and women over there, a caching event is a day at the beach. I also enjoyed seeing the picture on the profile page of one of the attendees, Martin 5.
