NatureCache is a new public program series sponsored by the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources and Gander Mountain combining naturalist-led interpretive hikes with GPS technology.

It's brand new so there's no telling just what that will entail, but one of the first projects involves measuring the weathering of gravestones. An historical society in Bradenton, Florida combined other activities with geocaching to raise money to restore the last remaining cabin in a former fish camp. They even created a special commemorative coin for the event.
