It's brand new so there's no telling just what that will entail, but one of the first projects involves measuring the weathering of gravestones. An historical society in Bradenton, Florida combined other activities with geocaching to raise money to restore the last remaining cabin in a former fish camp. They even created a special commemorative coin for the event.

This is needed to keep the extremely accurate Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) -- correct. UTC has been the world's official clock and is used for broadcasting time signals across the world.
