An historical society in Bradenton, Florida combined other activities with geocaching to raise money to restore the last remaining cabin in a former fish camp. They even created a special commemorative coin for the event.

I've known about GPS systems built into golf carts for a while now, but I just learned that there are now GPS units available to tell you how far you are from the green.
