I can't find the Discovery Series Icon to learn the address for the postcards. I submitted an email to the powers that be for it. I'll post it when I get it.
Last night Cleveland Metro Parks put on a cache event aimed at educating geocachers on how to identify Meth Labs and their dumpsites. Carly, CMP’s Naturalist and Geocaching Program director, arranged the event for us after having gone through the presentation herself as part of her job.
Geocachers are often in remote areas of parks, exactly where criminals like to cook their meth and discard the leftover supplies. The odds for a geocacher to stumble across these are higher than the general public.
Meth labs and dumpsites are potentially lethal. The combined toxins and poisons found there can kill if inhaled or touched. Some of the containers used can even explode. Another risk is running into the person who is operating the lab. He/she is not going to be pleased that you discovered them...
Saw this email from Jim Battista on the NWPA and Kinzua cachers mailing list and thought i would put up a notice here for those who may not have see it. Here is Jim's email:

This is a 2lb solid state wonder. Roo picked one up and I was checking it out today. He has loaded windows 2k on it without a problem. Load up GSAK and we are talking a kick butt traveling PC. All for just 0!!!!
"A tech company with ties to a school district plans to test a tracking system by putting computer chips on grade-schoolers' backpacks, an experiment the ACLU ripped Monday as invasive and unnecessary." Weigh in on this subject!
Saw a report on this coming out of the Consumer Electroncis Show in Vegas. For those who get a bit off the path where cell coverage does not exist - send a satellite message when you need help along with your coordinates.
